The Human Guild is a pioneering platform dedicated to empowering independent game developers within the NEAR protocol blockchain ecosystem.

Project Overview:

The Human Guild approached us with a unique vision – to craft a captivating 3D experience that would transport visitors back to the vibrant 1980s arcade era. Our goal was to raise awareness and engagement for independent developers striving to shine on social media.

Project Objective:

Our mission was clear: conceive and construct an immersive, enclosed space adorned with an array of classic game cabinets set against an art deco carpet backdrop. Neon lights would grace the dimly lit room, evoking the nostalgic ambiance of a 1980s-style arcade.

Our Approach

We embarked on this creative journey by sketching initial concepts and meticulously researching images to find the perfect lighting inspiration. Once our client endorsed the layout, we started modeling the arcade room and crafting lifelike game cabinets using Blender. Textures were meticulously crafted using a combination of 3Dcoat, Photoshop, and Illustrator.

In a nod to the dynamic nature of game development, we harnessed the power of AI image generation to adorn the game cabinet artwork, ensuring it remained in sync with the evolving game titles. Our dedication to detail continued as we baked all lighting effects into the images of our models, eliminating the need for real-time lighting and shadows.

The culmination of our efforts saw the models expertly exported as GLB files and seamlessly integrated into the Mozilla Hubs Spoke editor. We meticulously positioned the models within the scene, added captivating videos and functionality to the game cabinet screens, and finally, proudly launched the site to share our vision with the world.
